we're having a snow day . . . WHY?

i think it's because the teachers are being lazy!
it is bright and clear. a rare cleveland day in february! cleveland averages 202 cloudy days a year. (we live here why?) it hasn't snowed since yesterday evening and there isn't even that much snow on the ground. you can still see our front yard in all it's dirt clump glory. i sent zack out to catch the bus this morning, turned the t.v. on to catch the today show and there it was, the alert on the bottom of the screen that school was canceled. It's like every mom's nightmare, every kids dream! so i went outside, told him to come back in. he was just standing there, all alone at the bus stop. i felt like a bad mom to get my kid dressed AND out the door (gasp) ON A SNOW DAY! the weather "people" say it's going to be like this till the end of the week. be like what? happy, sunny, cheerful, not-at-all-gloomy. i'll take it! 4 kids and all!

I love your site it looks great. I agree with Ashley. I haven't had a snow day since I was in 2nd or 3rd grade. I love that you can see clean streets and everything. It must have just been an excuse.

Hey Steph.... I want to see a picture of a snowman in your front yard. It was the same way in Reno... one inch of snow and the whole city shuts down. So when are you making your way out to Utah again??? We really want to see you all this summer....

Seriously, you couldn't have walked 5 feet outside of the house and taken a picture of the shutters? I'm glad today was a better day.

Hello! I was searching the internet to find that fabulous quote from Sister Hinckley. Thank you for posting it on your website! I hear you about the snow. We live near Medina and also experienced the snow days. Tuesday the schools closed early here. Anyway, thanks for posting your tribute to the Hinckleys. Have a great day - Susan Jackson

Stephanie,

It has been so fun to look at your (great!) blog and see what your family is up too! I love love love your house. Dana and I always said that if we were to have to stay in the Cleveland area we would live in Mentor/Kirtland/Painsville. So great!

Keep blogging so I can continue to see you family.

Take care!
