our little obsession with p i n k

Riley is obsessed with pink. She thinks she has to wear it, eat it, drink it. And it has to be just the right kind of pink to fit her mood for that day. Some days, she will "allow" the dark pink shirt to be worn, some days it's the light. But if it's not pink, watch out.
So this morning, while I was getting ready, I kept hearing that certain clunking sound going into the little cups that we keep at kid level, mostly so they can carry around cereal or some kind of other treat in. I KNEW, just by the sound, that she was into the easter candy. I went downstairs and she had picked out all the pink jelly beans and was putting them into her pink cup. Just for fun, I put a yellow one in there and I instantly was at the bottom of her friends list. I knew then, never to mess with the pink!

Welcome to my world!! Sometimes we switch it up to purple but only on leap years. Don't you just love the kiddie cups from Ikea!! We use them for everything, including drinks.

We are also in this world. I hate it!! There are such cute clothes out there that are other colors or have just some pink, but if it not all pink it is a no. We call Abby our WT girl because she clashes her pinks. Oh girls!

How fun to do your basement. I want to see before and afters!

I am waiting for this day to come with Ruby. So far so good, but I KNOW it is just around the corner. We are in the Dora obsession right now and am dying to get out of it. I guess we can only let kids be kids while they can... right? Good luck with the "pink" issue. It that is as bad as it gets then I think you'll make it.

This just goes to show that even with two older brothers that X chromosome is alive and kicking.

Just as long as we're clear on who's running the ship! (don't get between me and my purple).

Oh so jealous! You get a little of both worlds. How fun! Although, even when I was a little girl I didn't like pink...maybe that's why I'm having all boys! :)
