mmm, tasty!

. . . at least that's what Maren says when she eats anything. But these, they are very tasty!

I got the recipe from Carrie when she brought us dinner after we had Riley or Maren. (I don't remember, it was all too close together) Anyway, I LOVED her cookie recipe and knew that I had found 'the one'! You know, the one chocolate chip cookie that you've been looking for that just works. Well, this is it. Carrie, I hope you don't mind me sharing, but it's too good not to.

1 POUND of butter, softened (yep, that would be 4 sticks)
2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups sugar
{cream those together}
3 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla
{mix together with butter mix}
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
6 cups of flour
{mix together}
I usually get the big bags of chocolate chips, so I just add 4 - 5 handfuls of chips, but do what works for you.

Bake at 350 for however long you like. Some like chewy, some like crispy.

Now here is where the genius comes. This recipe makes a lot. But, I don't like to eat entire batch of cookies in one day and I also don't like to eat cookies that are a day old. Cookies are always best right from the oven. I figured this out one night after getting rid of a lot of stale cookies.
So what you do is, scoop out all your dough into balls, place them on wax paper or something they won't stick to. Stick them in the freezer until frozen.

Then put them in a plastic bag.

Then when you want some cookies, you only have to cook one pan at a time, or one cookie at a time. Just cook a few extra minutes than normal.
