Bask in my finished project BLISS!

I FINALLY finished it! I started this quilt for Maren, I think before she was even born. I did all the fabric piecing really quick and then got it on the quilt frame to tie it. I think it sat on that thing, in my family room, for about 8 months. I knew that I wasn't going to get to it, so I took it off the frame and over to a lady who machine quilted it. (Which only cost me $15.00! Well worth the money!) So she got it done and then it came home and sat on the corner of my couch until we moved, where it was then put into a box of other unfinished sewing projects. I was suddenly motivated to finish it the other night. All I had to do was the binding, which I had no idea how to do until I found Heather Bailey's binding instructions! Saved me!
Now that it's done, I don't know if I can give it to her for her to actually use!

It is a work of Art. I told you when I first saw it you need to hang it on her wall in her bedroom. It is BOO-TI-FULLLLLLL!

If you do give it to her wait until she isn't sick anymore.

Darling! You have such talent for picking fabric to mesh together. Love the rickrack (sp?) in there too! I have done a blanket for each boy, and am already dreading this 3rd one! Thanks for the inspiration!

I kind of miss seeing it on the frame sitting in the family room. It became a fixture that I could rely on every time I came to visit.

It looks beautiful!

Will you be my kids mom so that they can have such cute blankets and craft things? Just let me know so I can rent them to you briefly

It looks great!! I am going to have to get that lady's number that quilted it for you. I want to make a quilt for my new niece or nephew, but absolutely dread the finishing part!

I wouldn't let her touch it either! Especially you wouldn't want her to barf on it accidentally!:) It looks AWESOME! Holy cow! Love the colors and patterns...you have such great taste. Congrats on finishing it!

Okay, that is just beautiful. It needs to be hanging up on a wall because it is an art masterpiece. (Whoa! I just read Robin's response AFTER I typed that, and I totally said the same thing!) Anyways, you did such an awesome job, and I love the fabric and color choices.
