car·pet

Pronunciation: \ˈkär-pət\
1: a heavy often tufted fabric used as a floor covering; also : a floor covering made of this fabric
2: a surface or layer resembling or suggesting a carpet

We got our carpet for the basement today. We are so close to being done. Things left to do on the list: finish railings for the stairs so the kiddos do go overboard, trim the doors so they fit again (carpet is too fluffly), trim the windows and put something up there (no idea what!), build the cabinets, move the furniture in!

Super before picutres:

with the walls done, but no carpet.

glad to see this guy go!

We now have carpet! As the guy was showing me everything right before they left, Riley was running in circles. And that's why we did it. So they could have their own spot to run circles.

now we have to get that boy buildin!

oops! someone didn't measure right!

I am right there with you. Our basement is almost finished. Eric is finishing his last coat of paint, then carpet/baseboards and FINALLY ALL the toys that I have been so patient with invading my life. I have been waiting for this for 2 years and am SO glad to have a light at the end of this horrible process.
You are going to LOVE it. nIce work Cameron.

Looks so good! I'm jealous. I wish I had a play room right about now. Our girls are sharing a room with 2 beds, lots of toys and no room to move. Can you fly to Utah and finish mine?

Hi! This is going to be a very random comment, but it's late at night and I feel daring! I was googling things about Kirtland because our daughter is there on a mission, and a post came up from your blog about you going to build a house and go to the Kirtland Ward. She recently told us she's in the Kirtland Ward, so -- if you happen to ever meet a Sister Norton from San Diego, please tell her hi from her mom! Ha! I've always told her I knew EVERYTHING...now she'll know it's true!
